today was the big day. damnnnn tiring wth.
after wake up, use comp then go studio to shoot family photo. then got mass at 4.30. lolz very pathetic only around 10 ppl in the entire church but my mum invited so few ppl also. but it went well ba... homely and cosy. just the way my mum wanted it. had a guest pianist and guitarist, and the 3 of us made up the choir and did the readings.
catholics are often criticized for our rigid adherence to ritualistic traditions. but today, as we went thru the mass, i just felt the proceedings were just... beautiful. the readings, along with the hymns and homily really brought forth the spirit of a wedding anniversary i guess.
bbq in the night, and a video. bro did the mass, sis did the bbq, i did the video. mum coordinated everything (smth like that at least). so we all contributed to make this a special day =) a fulfilling experience, albeit an exhausting one. stress of needing to look good, then solo singing and of course, social situations drain me too. but it all paid off ba.
there is a certain incongruous amalgam of cold logic and fiery passion in me that i can't quite manage to subsume. i'm wondering if one or the other will dominate, or if the two can co-exist in harmony as symbiotic entities.
